The Britain Bulletin: A Comprehensive History
Founding and Early Vision (2002–2006)
The Britain Bulletin was founded in 2002 by journalist and media entrepreneur David Jones. After two decades in regional broadcasting and print journalism, Jones launched the company with a bold vision: to create a modern, independent British news outlet that prioritized in-depth reporting, editorial integrity, and a right-leaning editorial stance amid an increasingly polarized media landscape.
Headquartered in Cheshire, The Britain Bulletin began as a weekly print publication with a focus on national affairs, politics, and social issues.
Expansion and Digital Transition (2006–2012)
By 2006, The Britain Bulletin had gained a loyal readership, especially among professionals, educators, and policymakers seeking an alternative to tabloids and partisan papers. In 2007, the company launched its online edition, britainbulletin.co.uk, which quickly became a central platform for its content.
The Investigative Era and Recognition (2012–2017)
During the early 2010s, The Britain Bulletin developed a reputation for serious investigative journalism. In 2013, it exposed irregularities in local council funding across the North of England, a series that earned the outlet its first British Press Award for Investigative Reporting.
