Migrant man who has said to have been living in the UK for over 25 years was found to be hiding upwards of £50k inside the wall of his home to escape paying the tax the money.
This comes to light after police responded to a 999 call alerting them to resident. After admitting to the stashed money the police equipped with a sledgehammer broke the wall where the money was said to be stashed.
After a quick word with an officer on the scene he claimed: "The man said he was doing it to hide untaxed money."
Our photographer, Chad, snapped a quick photo from inside the counsel house with permission from the local authorities displaying the loose notes. The notes were stashed in mostly 50 and 20 pound notes and appeared to have been stashed for multiple years.
The man who is now in police custody refused to make a statement to us and other news outlets. The judge and other members of law enforcement have also refused to make any statement and we are currently awaiting a response from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
