Sadie Fletcher, 32, from Devon was awoken in terror Friday night to the sound piano keys being pressed in her living room. She could not believe what she saw as she frantically fled the house and called her ex-boyfriend Josh, 29, to come "handle this massive f***-off spider" Pest control services were contacted promptly at 1:33am in the morning and came out to removed the arachnid from the Devon home. The Wilson & Sons Pest Control service said to us in an online response "This Aussie beauty was a sight to behold, she was massive we removed the spider and a nest we found later in the night... She was removed and placed in a secure cage and given to a reptile store." In a statement made by Fletcher she commented "I thought it was my cat downstairs walking across the piano so I went to down to check on her and that's when I saw it. It was blooming huge it had these great long legs and it well scared me, I snapped a pic of it when I went inside with the pest guys." She then emailed over the photo for us as seen above. "I am not sleeping for a good couple days I think. she adds." The spider who's identity we've hidden for security reasons was identified as an Australian Wolf spider which most likely made it's way to the UK on a ferry. It is currently being detained at a local reptile store until it's visa can be validated.
